Hi Malk and Contraband
Sorry for not replying- we’ve been over in Ireland (Cork) & only returned yesterday. Not all of the Americans came along, mind, only 8 of them!!
Thanks so much for doing the video- it’s great! I forwarded copy to Courtenay & Gareth as well as to Gareth’s parents. I particularly like the bit that you caught when Gareth flung Courtenay over his shoulder!
Thanks again for a super eve!! Fun was had by all.
Kind regards

Dear Chris and Contraband,

I wish to say a very big thank you to you and all the members of Contraband. The music was great and what a pleausre to see so many people in the hall enjoying themselves. The hall seemed to be alive and that is just what is needed. We made a handsome profit, all down to you, which was a big bonus in this day and age. Everyone agreed it was a wonderful evening. Thank you once again, it was really appreciated.

Yours sincerely,
Pete, Deal

Dear Chris and Contraband,

We are sorry we did not manage to thank each of you individually so I am writing to say a big Thank You for your very large part in making last Saturday evening such a success, a memorable post wedding ‘do’ for Kate and myself.

We thoroughly enjoyed the music and of course the dancing.. Everyone we have spoken to said “How did you find such a great band?”

Once again , many thanks to you all.
Ian and Kate Simmons.

Dear Chris and Contraband,

June and Douglas and Guests would like to thank you the band and caller for making their 60th Birthday and Ruby Wedding Celebration such a success on Saturday 29th April.

Many Thanks

Dear Chris and Contraband,

Thank you so much for your efforts at my party on Saturday night.
It was very successful and you were very popular with my guests. I was very surprised how quickly people started dancing and that they kept dancing until the end.

Once again, many thanks.

Dear Chris and Contraband,

Now that the dust has settled, we just wanted to say a huge thank you for making our wedding day so special! Everyone still talks about how much they enjoyed the Ceilidh, and it made for such a special atmosphere.
We hope that you enjoyed playing for us too, but more importantly thank you for all your effort and talent – it was so much appreciated.

Many thanks again, and all the best from us both.
John and Mary.

Dear Chris and Contraband,

I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thank you for playing at our Burns Supper. You did a tremendous job at adding a special ‘touch of Scotland’ to the event. It was a credit to you and the band for creating such a fantastic atmosphere.
The performance you gave was first class.

Yours Sincerely,

Dear Chris and Contraband,

I just wanted to thank you once again for making the barn dance such an enjoyable evening. We all had a lovely time and I raised over £300. We would like to book you next year for our 25th Wedding Anniversary, so will be in touch in the New Year.
Best Wishes,

Carolyn and Kevin Read.

Dear Chris and Contraband,

Just had to let you and the band know how pleased we were with everything on Saturday night. We had a really fantastic evening and thought you all did a great job. We have had lots of friends and family ringing us and all have said how brilliant the band were and what a great time they had. Personally I have never known 4 hours to fly by as quickly as they did on Saturday.

We have had lots of photo’s back and in everyone people are smiling and laughing.  A great testament to a good evening. Many, many thanks again Chris, we hope to see you and the band again someday.

Dear Chris and Contraband,

Now that the dust has finally settled, I wanted to write you a quick note to thank you and your other band members for the great show that put on on Friday – it really made the party go with a swing!

One of the great things about a Ceilidh is the way in which it encourages people to get up and dance – in fact, during the course of the evening I saw many strange pairings on the dance floor! In addition, I thought it was really nice that you were able to adjust your style of music during the course of the evening, with a very pleasing mix of rollicking country dancing with more relaxing ballads when people needed a break to cool down (or just to sit down and eat!)

Several people complimented me on my choice of band – both during the evening and afterwards – so much so that I almost felt guilty for having found you on the internet!

With best wishes for the future,

A Doddington

Dear Chris and Contraband,

Just a quick message to say thanks to you and the group for making my birthday party one to remember and one that so many people enjoyed. I’ve had fantastic feedback from everyone including those who had never experienced a ceilidh. Of course, I knew that most people would be “up for it”. The atmosphere and happy (but exhausted) faces were all the evidence I needed to know that it was all worthwhile. I think that you will have gained some more fans!

All best wishes,

Dear Chris and Contraband,

I just wanted to email you on behalf of all of the staff and students at the dance last night. We all had an excellent time and there was a lovely buzz at school today with people talking about it and showing each other their photos.

Please pass our thanks on to the rest of the band.

Dear Chris and Contraband,

Thank you very much for coming to play at The Valley on Saturday.  I thoroughly enjoyed the evening and my guests have not stopped telling me that they thought you were a great band with an excellent caller.  You managed to get some of them on the dance floor that I never expected!  Well done.

It was, I understand, the first Barn Dance/Ceilidh that Charlton have hosted so I will boast of making history at the Valley.

I shall never forget the occasion, it will remain a very fond memory and I am glad I bought your CD as a souvenir.  The success of the evening was largely down to you and shall always remain grateful to Contraband.  I wish you every success for the band’s future.

With very best wishes

Dear Chris and Contraband,

We have received numerous cards saying how much the barn dance was enjoyed, we were very pleased  how it went. A lot of the success depends on the band and we would like to thank and congratulate all of you for contributing towards such a great evening.

Best wishes,
Jane and David

Dear Chris and Contraband,

Many Thanks to everyone who played at my retirement party on October 29th. It was a great evening and much enjoyed by everyone. We were all exhausted on Sunday. Keep up the good work.

Best wishes,
